Zoomanity Group Supports Pasig River Rehabilitation Efforts

The subsequent industrialisation of Metro Manila has prompted many companies to build their factories along the Pasig River due to its accessibility. Through time, a massive amount of toxic wastes were deposited into the river.

As the gateway to the country’s historical, social and cultural life, rehabilitation efforts are being put into place to revive what was once considered a gem. Cognizant of the need to ensure that the rehabilitation program is not impeded, Zoomanity Group, launched the Zooper Cruise, which carries tourists aboard the air conditioned ferry boats from Valenzuela Station in JP Rizal, Makati to Plaza Mexico Station in Intramuros. Inclusions of the tour package are on board snacks, a sumptuous lunch at a Chinese restaurant, souvenir photos and an inarguably fun experience. Part of the proceeds of the Zooper Cruise go to the ongoing Pasig River rehabilitation program.

The Zooper Cruise was launched on August 25, and will take tourists on a trip along the historic Pasig River on the following dates: October 8, November 11, December 3 and 13, 2016. For as low as Php699.00 up to P1,999.00, tourists are guaranteed to enjoy the music and good ambiance aboard the ferry, something that they can look forward to with their friends and families Special tour packages are also available.

APARTEL + Victoria Court + Is it hip? Music Video Launch

We were invited last Saturday to the music video launch of "Is It Hip?" from APARTEL's debut album, "Check in, Trip Out."

It happened at Victoria Court, Malate. Why was that so?

Victoria Court is always on the lookout for out-of-the-box events and the launching of Apartel's music video is definitely one of them. 

Apartel, a new super-group formed by legendary Eraserheads front man and songwriter Ely Buendia, alongside co-conspirator and founder, Gnash/DRT front-man, and songwriter Jay Ortega has just launched their first ever single entitled “Is It Hip?”. 

When we heard the single and the entire album of the band, we knew both brands fit like a glove. Apartel's sexy sound launched in Manila's sexiest drive-in hotel?

Reliving the History with Zooper Cruise

National Hero Dr. Jose Rizal once said, “Ang taong hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan, hindi makakarating sa patutunguhan.” (He who does not know how to look back at where he came from will never get to his destination.)

This adage is a constant reminder for each one of us to look back where we came from, so that we may learn from the lessons of the past.

Our country has a very rich and colorful history and multi-racial culture as told through history books, literary works, various landmarks, and from the stories passed along by our ancestors through the generations.

We may ask ourselves, “How much do we know about our history and culture?” A lot. Or maybe not that much? Decades have passed and most of us can only remember so much about our history and culture relying on books and multimedia sources, among others.

One of the most prominent landmark mentioned in Philippine history books is the Pasig River. National hero and novelist Dr. Jose Rizal even mentioned it in his two books Noli Me Tangere and El Filibusterismo. Due to its geographical location which cuts through several Metro Manila cities, Pasig River became the gateway to the country’s historical, cultural and social life.

Through the years, industrialization has brought so much progress to various sectors of the government and the surrounding nearby communities, thus, Pasig River slowly lost its beauty as more factories were built along or near the banks. But with the recent rehabilitation efforts in place, bit by bit, the Pasig River is starting to gain back its glory.

Currently, there are two scheduled tours on the following dates: October 15 and November 11, 2016, from 3pm up to 9pm. The pick-up of all tour participants is at Alveo Place in Ayala Circuit at exactly 2:30 in the afternoon. A shuttle will then take them to Valenzuela Station in JP Rizal.

Remarkably, part of the proceeds of the Zooper Cruise tours will benefit the conservation projects of CSR-Zoomanity Foundation under the Yupangco Group of Companies.
